How much does the 2022 Toyota Prius cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 513 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Toyota Prius a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Prius earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its impressive fuel economy, comfortable ride, and practical everyday usability. That fits especially well if you want a hybrid that helps you save at the pump and works well for daily driving, even if you care less about excitement. With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a fair chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Toyota Prius reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes reliability, with drivers describing the Prius as dependable and well suited to long-term use. Its reputation for trouble-free ownership is reinforced by the way shoppers continue to value its efficiency and practicality. For used buyers, that usually means lower long-term ownership risk if you choose a well-kept example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Prius?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title history, and maintenance patterns. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and overall wear. Focus on condition first, because a Prius that has been maintained well is more likely to deliver the efficiency and dependability you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Prius?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 513 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,940, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Prius's resale value?

The current average of $22,922 sits slightly above last year's $22,775.

That small increase suggests the Prius has held value well rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that kind of stability can make pricing easier because the market has already shown it can support this range. Strong efficiency and broad shopper appeal also help keep demand steady when you decide to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Prius or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,271, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $22,922 average.
• It emphasizes efficiency and everyday practicality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,760, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $22,922 average.
• It adds sharper styling and more power.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price stability, owner satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2022 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better value path. If you want a newer-feeling Prius and can stretch your budget, the 2023 is the upgrade to consider.
