Why it stands out
The 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid excels in offering a blend of efficiency, comfort, and practicality, making it a strong contender in the three-row midsize SUV segment. While not lauded for its design, which some may find uninspiring, it compensates with commendable fuel economy and excellent safety ratings. The hybrid powertrain delivers a respectable 243 horsepower, providing adequate acceleration paired with a smooth and quiet ride that family-oriented buyers will appreciate. Its spacious second-row seating and a variety of tech and safety features, such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist, enhance its appeal. Despite criticisms regarding some interior materials feeling inexpensive, the model's value proposition remains strong, especially for those prioritizing fuel efficiency and family-friendly features over sporty performance.

I had a 2012 Highlander Hybrid XLE….loved it!! Toyota and Lexus Hybrid models until a return to the re-design of this year’s beauty. I got the Highlander Hybrid Platinum. Great ride, fantastic gas mileage. Top quality interior, nothing cheap about the quality.

Comfortable, good responsive feel on the road, feature rich, great gas mileage. Moderate storage capacity for its size in comparison to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Not a good choice for towing above 2500 lbs.
