Used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearPittsburgh, PA

How much does the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 12.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,140 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth drive, advanced features, and stylish look. The expert review also points to impressive technology, a comfortable ride, and a strong warranty as major strengths.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is sluggish, the third row is cramped, and voice recognition struggles at speed. That makes it a better fit if you want a mainstream SUV with a more modern feel and strong value rather than a quick or especially spacious family hauler.

Good and great deals account for 32.2% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a smooth, dependable feel and a trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers also highlighting the advanced features and overall confidence they have in the vehicle. The expert review reinforces that sense of durability by emphasizing the Outlander’s strong warranty and generous roadside assistance coverage.

Mitsubishi also backs the Outlander with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile standard warranty, and five years of free roadside assistance. That kind of coverage can reduce long-term ownership risk for used buyers, especially if you plan to keep the SUV for several years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the third row, cargo area, and interior condition, since those are the areas most likely to show how the SUV was used. It also makes sense to test the driving experience closely, because the review notes that acceleration, ride quality, and steering feel can be divisive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Outlander is offered in ES, SE, SE Launch Edition, SEL, and SEL Launch Edition trim levels. The higher trims add more upscale equipment, and the Touring Package on SEL brings premium semi-aniline leather, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a premium sound system, rear-window sunshades, and a panoramic glass sunroof. Base trims are more likely to leave you without those luxury touches.
• Powertrain: The Outlander uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, and Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control AWD system is available. The review notes that the SUV feels most responsive around town, but it can feel sluggish when merging or passing.
• Safety package: Mi-Pilot Assist is the named driver-assistance suite, and it works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy. Standard driver-assist tech also includes forward collision avoidance, safe reversing, lane-keeping assistance, and blind-spot warning. The review notes that steering assistance and lane-departure prevention can feel intrusive when Mi-Pilot Assist is not engaged.
• Infotainment: The available 9-inch touchscreen includes stereo volume and tuning knobs, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a free two-year subscription to Mitsubishi Connect Safeguard and Remote services. Android Auto requires a wire, and wireless smartphone charging is standard with the 9-inch Smartphone-link system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Outlander returned 24.9 mpg in testing, and the review cites an official fuel-economy rating of 26 mpg for AWD models.

Which 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 5 trim levels: ES, SE, SE Launch Edition, SEL, and SEL Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point if you want the Outlander’s redesign, standard front-wheel drive, and core family-SUV packaging at the lowest price. It makes sense if you mainly care about value and can live without the richer cabin and tech upgrades found higher up.
• SE: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of equipment and price. It sits in the middle of the lineup and should be the best-value choice for many shoppers who want more content without moving all the way to the upper trims.
• SE Launch Edition: Choose this if you want a more feature-rich SE-based setup and are shopping for a limited-edition version. It should appeal if you want something a little more distinctive without jumping to the top of the range.
• SEL: This is the trim that unlocks the most upscale feel, especially when paired with the Touring Package. It adds the strongest mix of comfort, technology, and premium touches, so it’s the best fit if you want the Outlander to feel closest to a near-luxury family SUV.
• SEL Launch Edition: Pick this if you want the SEL’s upscale character with a special-edition twist. It’s the right choice if you value the richer equipment set and want a more exclusive version of the top-end trim.

Mi-Pilot Assist is a standout safety and driver-assistance feature, and the review notes that it works best when you expect it to manage steering support rather than fight it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,140 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,295, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $19,295 sits slightly below last year's $21,926.

That price movement suggests the Outlander has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the current market average or below it, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell.

The model’s strong warranty, modern redesign, and solid owner satisfaction can help support demand in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander includes Mi-Pilot Assist, a hands-on Level 2 driver-assistance system, along with forward collision avoidance, safe reversing, lane-keeping assistance, and blind-spot warning.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Mi-Pilot Assist is the standout feature here because it works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy. The review also notes that the Outlander’s steering-assistance and lane-departure systems can feel intrusive when Mi-Pilot Assist is not active, and you have to use the touchscreen menu to turn them off.

Should I buy a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out as a redesigned SUV with impressive technology, a comfortable ride, and a strong warranty.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right pick if you want the redesigned Outlander’s stronger tech, better value, and solid ownership appeal. If you’re especially price-sensitive, shop carefully for a clean, well-priced example and prioritize the trims that give you the equipment you’ll actually use.
