Used 2022 Kia Niro for Sale nearBaltimore, MD

How much does the 2022 Kia Niro cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 294 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Kia Niro a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Kia Niro earns a 4.8/5 user rating, and its overview points to a subcompact hybrid crossover that prioritizes efficiency without giving up practicality. You get strong space-for-size usefulness, accessible technology, and a straightforward hybrid setup that makes sense if you want fuel savings in a small package. It is also described as a relatively affordable used Kia, which helps its case if you want efficiency without stretching your budget. With 37.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2022 Kia Niro reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview emphasizes a practical hybrid setup, useful standard safety features, and a simple formula that should appeal if you want a car built around efficiency and everyday usability. Its drawbacks are more about driving character and refinement than obvious durability concerns, since it is described as slow and noisier than the plug-in hybrid or EV versions. For used buyers, that means your long-term risk is less about flash and more about making sure the car has been maintained well and still feels tight and quiet enough for your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Kia Niro?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still prioritize a history report, because even a strong accident-free share does not replace checking the specific car you are considering. Put the inspection focus on condition, especially signs of wear that could affect a hybrid crossover’s practicality and daily comfort. Since the model’s appeal is tied to efficiency and usefulness, make sure the cabin, cargo area, and overall mechanical feel match the seller’s description.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Kia Niro?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 294 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,688, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Kia Niro's resale value?

The current average of $19,746 sits slightly above last year's $19,579.

That small increase suggests the Niro has held its value fairly well for a used hybrid crossover. For a future seller, that kind of steady pricing can be helpful because it points to a market that has not weakened sharply. The model’s efficiency-focused appeal and practical packaging should continue to support demand as long as condition and mileage remain competitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Kia Niro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,470, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $19,746 average.
• The 2023 brings an all-new design with a more eco-focused cabin and best-in-class fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2022 is the smarter starting point because it combines steady pricing with strong satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you are willing to pay more for a newer redesign and a more modern efficiency-focused package, the 2023 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2022 gives you the cleaner balance of cost and practicality.
