Used 2022 GMC Yukon for Sale nearToledo, OH

How much does the 2022 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 12.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,698 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2022 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

The Yukon fits buyers who want a full-size SUV with a more premium, distinctive presentation than a typical mainstream rival. It offers strong capability, generous space, and multiple powertrain choices, while the 2022 update adds a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity.

The trade-offs are real, though: the expert review calls out poor fuel economy and poor value for money. Even so, if you want a large SUV with upscale styling and plenty of utility, the Yukon still makes a compelling case. 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Yukon’s redesign brought meaningful gains in space, ride quality, and technology, and the expert review highlights a smooth, quiet ride over most surfaces. It also notes multiple powertrain options and a powerful engine, both of which support the sense that the SUV is built for demanding use.

The performance notes also point to a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty for the diesel engine, which is a useful ownership perk if you’re considering that setup. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, complex SUV can be expensive to keep in top shape if it has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, suspension, and any signs of heavy family or towing use. It also helps to compare trim equipment closely, since the Yukon’s feature set changes meaningfully as you move up the lineup.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SLE already has a premium look with plenty of chrome, but it uses cloth seats and lacks some of the richer cabin touches found higher up. The SLT, AT4, and Denali add perforated leather, while the Denali stands out with four interior designs not offered on other trims.
• Powertrain: The Yukon offers three engines: a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 hp and 460 pound-feet, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder with 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The diesel is the efficiency play, while the V8s emphasize strength and towing.
• Safety package: GMC Pro Safety is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist; it is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above.
• Infotainment: The Yukon has a 10.2-inch touchscreen, a 12-inch reconfigurable driver information center, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Built-In, and wireless phone charging on all but the SLE. AT4 and Denali also get three years of connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the Yukon returns 16-17 mpg combined with the V8 engines and 22-23 mpg combined with the diesel. It also notes that the diesel can travel up to 648 miles on a tank.

Which 2022 GMC Yukon trim should I buy?

The 2022 GMC Yukon is offered in 4 trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali.

Here's the short version:

• SLE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Yukon’s upscale look, standard seating for eight, and the core tech and safety foundation. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without leather and some of the richer convenience features.
• SLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds perforated leather and unlocks more of the Yukon’s premium feel without jumping all the way to the specialty models. It also gets GMC Pro Safety Plus standard, which adds blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.
• AT4: Choose this if you want the Yukon’s off-road-oriented character. It has unique front styling, a skid plate, red recovery hooks, standard 4WD, and a two-speed transfer case, plus available heated and cooled front seats.
• Denali: This is the luxury pick, with the most distinctive exterior and interior presentation, standard second-row captain’s chairs, heated and cooled front seats, and exclusive interior designs. It’s the right choice if you want the most upscale Yukon experience.

GMC Pro Safety Plus is available on SLE and standard on SLT and above, so safety-minded shoppers may want to start at SLT.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,698 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,570, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $45,570 sits slightly below last year's $52,322.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure resale if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong demand for well-equipped full-size SUVs can still support values, especially for cleaner examples with desirable trims.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 GMC Yukon safe?

The 2022 GMC Yukon earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side crash from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2022 Yukon comes with GMC Pro Safety, which includes automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, following distance indicator, and automatic high-beam headlights. GMC Pro Safety Plus adds lane-change alert with blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist, and it is standard on SLT and above.

The main caveat is the rollover result, which is lower than the other NHTSA scores. Even so, the Yukon’s standard driver aids and available upgrades give you a strong safety toolkit for a large SUV.

Should I buy a 2022 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 adds a standard 12-inch driver information center and enhanced connectivity.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $40,773, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $45,570 average.
• It brought major gains in space, ride quality, and technology.

The bottom line: Buy the 2022 if you want the stronger market mix of softened pricing, solid inventory, and the year’s added tech updates. If your priority is saving money above all else, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you can find one in good condition.
