The Tremor package brings synthetic suede seat inserts and unique stitching and accents throughout. Every Ranger comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen. It runs Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment software, which brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, USB inputs, and more. Ford offers an options group that includes an additional 4.2-inch color driver information display and additional tech features. The Sync 3 system is one of the most intuitive and easy-to-use infotainment interfaces on the market today, and it makes interacting with the truck less distracting while driving. The Ranger missed out on a Top Safety Pick in testing with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but it performed well in most crash test categories. It missed the mark on seatbelt reminders, where it earned a “Poor” score, and on LATCH system ease of use, where it earned a “Marginal” rating. The base XL trim gets forward collision warnings, emergency braking, and a rearview camera. The XLT trim adds Ford Co-Pilot360, which brings automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warnings. The 2022 Ford Ranger is on sale now with a starting price of $27,425 after destination. The XLT starts at $31,475, the Lariat at $35,015, and the top trim crests $40,000.
