How much does the 2022 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices are up 2.32% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,740 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2022 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford Mustang earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its performance, handling, and styling, and many also like the manual transmission option and the fun driving experience it delivers. That makes it a strong fit if you want a sporty coupe or convertible with real enthusiast appeal and enough variety to suit different driving preferences. With 31.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that many drivers enjoy over time because it feels engaging, dependable in daily use, and rewarding to keep. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how the car was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus your inspection on signs of prior damage, modifications, and uneven wear. Because condition matters so much on a performance car, a pre-purchase inspection is especially valuable if the car has been driven hard or modified. Pay close attention to how the car starts, shifts, and feels on the road before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,740 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.32% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 76.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,445, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $34,069 sits slightly above last year's $33,296.

That kind of price movement suggests the market still values this model year well, which can help support resale strength if you buy carefully. A Mustang with clean history, strong condition, and desirable equipment should be easier to move later than one with questionable maintenance or accident history. Demand also tends to stay healthier when a car has broad enthusiast appeal and a strong ownership reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.32% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,373, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,069 average.
• It adds the Mach 1 trim to an already appealing performance lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market benchmark and are comfortable paying more for a newer listing pool, the 2022 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2021 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
