What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Challenger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report so you can confirm accident status, title history, and any signs of inconsistent ownership. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the car’s condition, especially wear that could come from hard use or neglect. Focus on the interior, drivetrain behavior, and overall maintenance evidence so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has been driven hard.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.11% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.0% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2022 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $33,122 sits slightly below last year's $33,837.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean future resale gains are limited. If you plan to sell later, the current trend implies you should pay close attention to purchase price and condition so you do not start too far above market. Strong examples should still hold appeal because the Challenger has a loyal audience and a distinctive identity.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,481, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $33,122 average.
• It emphasizes straight-line speed and muscle-car personality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,626, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,122 average.
• It adds final-year special editions and more extreme performance.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around starting point if you want a strong mix of price, satisfaction, and available inventory. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense only if you want the final-year special-edition appeal and are willing to pay more.
