Summary
With 437 currently listed for sale and an average price of $65,773, 33.4% of 2022 Chevrolet Corvette listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette 4.85 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8.17 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2022 Chevrolet Corvette lives up to its billing as “America’s Sports Car,” and the latest version continues to feel like a serious performance machine rather than a nostalgia act. Chevrolet describes the current Corvette Stingray as an automotive institution nearing its 70th anniversary, and the eighth-generation C8 is presented as the real deal. It also stands out for offering impressive performance and technology while still managing to be a decent value.
For 2022, the Corvette Stingray changes only slightly. Chevrolet launched an IMSA GTLM Championship Edition limited to 1,000 units, made some powertrain changes that do not affect output, and added Hypersonic Gray, Caffeine, and Amplify Orange Tintcoat to the exterior color palette. The lineup remains coupe and convertible body styles with 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trims, and a Z51 performance package is available on any trim level; it upgrades the suspension and adds an electronic limited-slip differential and Brembo brakes. That combination makes the Corvette appealing to buyers who want sharp styling, strong driving enjoyment, and easy-to-use technology, though it is not without compromises, including poor fuel economy, limited cargo space, and advanced safety features that are not standard.

This car is an enthusiasts dream. The lines on the car are stunning and the engine noise reverberates to your core. Handling is above average and amazing for a US built car. If you want the stylings of a Ferrari/Lambo, noise of a muscle car and the thrill of an upgraded legend, then Id seriously consider the vehicle. The limited edition and racing pedigree of this trim made it irresistible.

The car has all the accessories you could ask for. A very comfortable ride in tour or sport mode. Not quite as quick as other owners have stated but I have been driving a McLaren 650s. I do think it will do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds with no problem. The value is definitely there and the build feels solid. Upscale materials inside and out.

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $67,167 |
| Year-Round Low | $67,167 |
| Year-Round High | $70,437 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $70,449 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −4.66% |
Prices have softened 4.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,987 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and body styles.
Is the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?
Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4.85/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.
Owners consistently praise its stunning looks, impressive performance, and comfortable ride. Review feedback also points to excellent handling and strong value for money, especially for a mid-engine sports car.
The trade-offs are familiar for this kind of car: it can feel less quick than some rival high-performance cars in certain situations, and the overall package is shaped by a sports-car focus rather than everyday practicality.
If you want a dramatic, high-performance two-seater that still feels approachable and usable, this Corvette fits that brief well. The market also shows 37.7% of listings as good or great deals, which supports the value case.
Is the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?
Owners rate it 4.85/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to shoppers: it is praised for being enjoyable to live with, confidence-inspiring, and strong on overall satisfaction. The expert evaluation also describes the Corvette as easy to get the most out of and remarkably comfortable on rough roads, which supports the idea that it can be a trouble-free sports car for regular use.
Chevrolet also backs it with a three-year, 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about sports-car wear, maintenance history, and how hard the car was driven.
What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Corvette?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with this much performance hardware. Focus on tire wear, brake condition, curb rash, and signs that the car was tracked or modified. If you are comparing examples, pay close attention to option content because the Corvette’s equipment mix changes the ownership experience a lot.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base 1LT gives you the core Corvette experience, but it skips navigation and the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert features that appear on higher trims. The 2LT and 3LT add more convenience and comfort equipment, so they are the better fit if you want a more complete daily-driver setup.
- Powertrain: The standard setup is a 6.2-liter V8 with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Output is 490 hp and 465 pound-feet of torque, or 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque with the optional performance exhaust system.
- Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are the key driver-assistance features, and they are not available on the base 1LT trim.
- Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a built-in WiFi hotspot. Navigation is standard on all trim levels except the base 1LT.
- Fuel efficiency: EPA fuel economy is 19 mpg combined (16 mpg city, 24 mpg highway).
Which 2022 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?
The 2022 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT.
Here's the short version:
- 1LT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Corvette’s core performance and tech at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you care most about getting into the car for less, but you give up navigation and the available driver-assistance features.
- 2LT: This is the best-value choice for most shoppers because it adds more convenience and comfort equipment without jumping to the top of the range. It is the trim that best balances price, features, and everyday livability.
- 3LT: Choose this if you want the most upscale Corvette experience and are willing to pay for it. It is the most feature-rich trim, so it suits buyers who want the fullest equipment list rather than the sharpest value.
The safety features are not available on the base 1LT trim level.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Corvette?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options but still enough demand to reward quick action on strong listings.
- Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,987 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.66% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 90.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $67,167, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?
The current average of $67,167 sits slightly below last year's $70,449.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Corvette still holds a strong position in the sports-car market, but pricing is more sensitive when supply is healthy and shoppers have choices.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.85/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette safe?
The Corvette is light on driver-assist tech, with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as the main notable features.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Those features are helpful because rear visibility is limited, but they are not available on the base 1LT trim. That means you should pay close attention to trim level if safety convenience matters to you, since the entry model leaves out the most useful driver-assistance equipment.
Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2022 if:
- 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.66% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.85/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It adds minor updates, a limited-edition IMSA GTLM Championship Edition, and new exterior colors.
Consider the 2021 if:
- At $63,774, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $67,167 average.
- It offers stylish design and strong value with a more visceral convertible experience.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $76,699, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $67,167 average.
- It leans harder into supercar-style presence and performance.
The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the current Corvette formula with strong value and healthy inventory. If price is your top priority, the 2021 is the smarter move; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling step up in presence, the 2023 is worth a look.
