Used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV cost?

Prices have softened 2.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 457 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its affordability, efficiency, and comfort in urban driving, and they also like the beautiful interior, convenience features, and smooth one-pedal driving experience. In everyday use, that lines up well with its role as a larger, more SUV-like Bolt that aims to be easy to live with and well equipped.

The trade-offs are that performance is fairly pedestrian and all-wheel drive is not available. That makes it a better fit if you want a relaxed, value-focused EV rather than extra punch or traction options.

Good and great deals account for 34.8% of listings, which is a healthy sign that you can still find competitive pricing.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Reviews also point to affordability, efficiency, comfort, and a smooth one-pedal driving experience, all of which are the kinds of traits that usually support dependable day-to-day ownership.

The expert review also emphasizes that the Bolt EUV is easy to live with, with comfortable ride quality and straightforward EV operation. Its value proposition is reinforced by the included maintenance and warranty coverage, which helps reduce early ownership stress.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery and charging history are clean and that the car has been maintained and repaired properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, confirm the car’s charging habits, and prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery, tires, brakes, and interior condition. Because this is an EV, it also makes sense to ask how often the car was charged at home versus on DC fast charging and whether any battery-related repairs or updates were completed.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LT trim gets cloth seats and does not include Super Cruise, while the Premier adds leather upholstery and makes Super Cruise available as an option. The Launch Edition includes model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, a standard panoramic sunroof, and standard Super Cruise.
• Powertrain: It uses a single electric motor with front-wheel drive, producing 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Chevy says zero to 60 mph takes about 7 seconds, but the driving character is tuned more for comfort than excitement.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is not available on the base LT trim, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes a 10.2-inch touchscreen, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard wireless phone charging. A 4G LTE WiFi hotspot and Amazon Alexa compatibility are also available.
• Range & charging: Chevy quotes 250 miles of range, with an 11-kilowatt onboard charger that can recharge the car in seven hours from a 240-volt Level 2 AC source. Standard DC fast charging can recover up to 95 miles of range in 30 minutes.
• Battery health: For a used EV, you should ask for battery state-of-health information, review charging patterns, and confirm whether the car spent most of its life on home charging rather than repeated fast charging. You should also check how much of the battery warranty remains and whether any battery-related service history is documented.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Premier, Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value play if you want the Bolt EUV’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard EV powertrain, the 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full standard safety suite, but you give up Super Cruise and the more upscale cabin touches found higher up.
• Premier: This is the best-value trim if you want the most balanced mix of comfort and features. It adds leather upholstery and makes Super Cruise available, so it suits you if you want the Bolt EUV’s standout driver-assist tech without jumping to the limited-edition model.
• Launch Edition: This is the trim to choose if you want the most equipment and standard Super Cruise. It adds model-specific alloy wheels, an illuminated charge port, and a standard panoramic sunroof, but it is a limited-production version rather than the regular lineup.

Super Cruise is not available on the base LT trim, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 457 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,646, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV's resale value?

The current average of $19,925 sits slightly below last year's $20,425.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favorable if you are planning to sell soon. A lower average price usually means future resale gains may be more limited unless demand strengthens or supply tightens.

Even so, the Bolt EUV’s value-focused reputation and strong owner satisfaction help support demand among used EV shoppers. If you keep the car in good condition and maintain the battery well, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a forward-distance indicator, and front pedestrian braking. Super Cruise is the standout advanced driver-assistance system, but it is not available on the base LT trim, is optional on the Premier, and standard on the Launch Edition.

That trim-level gap matters if you want the most advanced highway assistance, because you will need to move up from the base model to get it. The available surround-view camera system, rearview camera mirror, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control also add useful convenience and confidence.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It was the first non-Cadillac model with GM Super Cruise.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $20,996, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $19,925 average.
• Chevrolet lowered prices and made the Bolt EUV one of the most affordable new EVs.

The bottom line: If you want the better used-market value, the 2022 is the smarter starting point because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you want the newer model-year pricing reset and can stretch a bit, the 2023 is worth a look for its lower new-car positioning and updated value story.
