The 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV is built around space, comfort, and presence, with a three-row cabin, generous passenger and cargo room, and a long-wheelbase body that gives it a larger footprint than the standard Escalade. It also leans heavily into luxury with premium materials, expressive styling, and a wide range of upscale trim levels and options. The 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV pairs its luxury mission with a substantial feature set, including standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and driver-assistance features such as automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. It also offers available Super Cruise and comfort features like heated front and second-row seats, ventilated massaging front seats, and an available power third row. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a large, highly equipped luxury SUV can be costly to maintain if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or neglected maintenance. Because this is a large luxury SUV with advanced technology and available high-end features, condition matters as much as mileage. Focus especially on the cabin, electronics, and any signs that comfort or driver-assistance equipment may not be working as intended.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,048 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $58,275, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $58,275 sits slightly below last year's $64,394.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Well-kept examples should still benefit from the model’s strong luxury appeal and broad shopper interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $52,202, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $58,275 average.
• It emphasizes spaciousness and technology with a smooth, upscale driving feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2022 is the better primary target. If your budget is tighter and you want to spend less up front, the 2021 is the smarter secondary path.
