Is the 2022 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Audi Q8 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview frames it as Audi’s flagship SUV with a coupe-like shape, a more exclusive feel than the Q7, and a sportier, more luxurious character aimed at buyers who want something distinctive. It also emphasizes a strong standard equipment list, including the turbocharged V6, quattro all-wheel drive, navigation, a digital instrument panel, and a panoramic sunroof. With 39.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Audi Q8 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview also points to a well-equipped standard setup and a proven 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. At the same time, it flags potential issues with the 48-volt mild hybrid system, the air suspension, and infotainment software glitches. For used buyers, that means reliability can be good, but long-term ownership risk is worth checking carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Pay close attention to the condition of the mild hybrid system, air suspension, and infotainment behavior, since those are the areas the overview highlights as potential trouble spots. It also makes sense to evaluate overall maintenance records and general wear, especially because this model is positioned as a premium SUV with higher ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q8?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 815 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,732, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $36,732 sits slightly below last year's $43,839.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future resale if you buy at the right number today. If you pay close to the current average or below it, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure later. The Q8’s premium positioning and distinctive design can help sustain interest, but resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a strong pick if you want the Q8’s upscale look, standard V6 power, and a market that currently offers meaningful price relief. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also use the softer pricing to compare nearby model years and see whether a lower-mileage or better-equipped alternative gives you more value for the money.
