How much does the 2021 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 6.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,099 listings available, which suggests you should have a solid range of choices.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Honda Accord earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 9.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its great performance, luxurious features, and good gas mileage. The modern look also comes through in owner feedback, and the car’s stylish design, great handling, and spacious cabin fit the way many shoppers use a midsize sedan. The main trade-offs are that it is not the fastest option and the technology can feel outdated, so you should weigh those limits if you want the latest features or stronger acceleration.

The market also looks reasonably healthy, with 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a car that feels dependable over time, with drivers highlighting good gas mileage, strong performance, and a generally positive ownership experience. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Accord’s measured, easy-to-live-with driving character and its strong overall execution, which supports confidence in daily use. Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes also reinforce that the Accord is priced in a way that makes long-term ownership easier to justify.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not overused.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Accord?

At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, tires, brakes, and interior wear. Because the Accord is a high-volume sedan, condition can vary a lot from one listing to the next, so the best examples are the ones with clean records and clear maintenance history. If you are comparing multiple trims, focus on whether the equipment you want is standard or only appears on higher grades.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the base model, while higher trims add features such as LED headlights and lowlights, leather-trimmed seating on upper grades, a power moonroof on select trims, and more upscale wheel designs. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment.
• Powertrain: The Accord uses a 192-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with a CVT on LX, Sport, Sport SE, and EX-L trims, while Sport 2.0T and Touring use a 252-hp 2.0-liter turbo-four with a 10-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is not offered.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Higher trims add rear-seat reminder, low-speed braking control, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: Every Accord gets an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, hands-free text messaging, and two USB ports. Higher trims add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a 10-speaker premium audio system, WiFi hotspot capability, and Near Field Communication.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5-liter engine is rated at 30 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 33 mpg combined, while the 2.0-liter engine returns 22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined.

Which 2021 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Accord is offered in 6 trim levels: LX, Sport 1.5T, Sport Special Edition (SE), EX-L, Sport 2.0T, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the Accord’s core strengths at the lowest entry point, including the standard safety suite, the 8-inch touchscreen, and the efficient 1.5-liter turbo engine.
• Sport 1.5T: Choose this if you want a more stylish look and a better-equipped feel without moving too far up the price ladder; it adds a sportier presentation while keeping the efficient base powertrain.
• Sport Special Edition (SE): This is the best-value upgrade if you want more comfort and convenience, since it adds leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a 12-way power driver’s seat, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and remote engine start.
• EX-L: Pick this if you want a more upscale daily driver, especially if you value leather, added comfort, and the available power moonroof.
• Sport 2.0T: This is the choice for you if you want the stronger 2.0-liter turbo engine and a more engaging drive without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Touring: Buy this if you want the most features, including the head-up display and the fullest tech and comfort content in the lineup.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,099 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,549, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $21,617 sits slightly below last year's $23,037.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Accord still has broad appeal, but resale value will depend heavily on trim, mileage, condition, and whether the car has a clean history. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones because shoppers in this segment tend to reward strong reputation and sensible ownership costs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord safe?

The 2021 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in all crash testing scenarios.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Standard safety equipment also includes vehicle stability assist with traction control, brake assist, a rearview camera, and LED daytime running lights. Higher trims add rear-seat reminder, low-speed braking control, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.

The main safety caveat is that some of the more helpful driver-assistance upgrades are reserved for higher trims, so you should confirm the exact equipment on any used listing you are considering.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda refined the Accord’s features list, added a trim level, and made safety a priority.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,836, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $21,617 average.
• It blends style, comfort, and everyday usefulness with easy-to-use technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped, more refined version and can find a clean example at a fair price, the 2021 is the stronger pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Accord formula that makes this sedan appealing.
