How much does the 2021 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 6.02% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,153 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Honda Accord earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 9.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its great performance, luxurious features, and good gas mileage. The Accord also gets credit for its modern look and technology, and the overall package is framed as stylish, spacious, and well suited to everyday use. The main trade-offs are that all-wheel drive is not available and the technology is described as outdated, so you may want to weigh those limits if you want the latest features or extra traction.

With 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to good gas mileage and a car that many drivers feel good about living with over time. The expert review also emphasizes measured performance, smooth braking, and a well-rounded daily-driving character. Honda’s cost-effectiveness notes also reinforce the Accord’s value-minded ownership profile.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the car’s condition and maintenance history match its strong reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Honda Accord?

At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, safety equipment, and interior condition. Because the accident-free share is not overwhelming, it’s smart to focus on signs of prior repair quality, uneven panel gaps, and any warning lights or feature malfunctions. If a listing looks especially clean and well maintained, that can matter more than mileage alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the base model, while higher trims add features like LED headlights and lowlights, leather-trimmed seating, a power moonroof, and more upscale interior materials. The Sport SE adds leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a 12-way power driver’s seat, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and remote engine start.
• Powertrain: The standard 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is paired with a CVT and is tuned for everyday use, while the 2.0-liter turbo-four with a 10-speed automatic brings more power and stronger acceleration. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is not offered.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Higher trims add rear-seat reminder, low-speed braking control, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: Every Accord gets an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, hands-free text messaging, and two USB ports. Higher trims add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a premium audio system, WiFi hotspot capability, and Near Field Communication.
• Fuel efficiency: The 1.5-liter engine is rated at 30 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway, while the 2.0-liter engine returns 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

Which 2021 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2021 Honda Accord is offered in 6 trim levels: LX, Sport 1.5T, Sport Special Edition (SE), EX-L, Sport 2.0T, and Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the Accord’s core strengths without pushing the price up. It’s the trim to consider if you want the lowest entry cost and are comfortable with the standard equipment.
• Sport 1.5T: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more distinctive look and a stronger feature set while keeping the efficient 1.5-liter engine. It also brings the sporty exterior touches that make the Accord feel more upscale.
• Sport Special Edition (SE): This trim builds on the Sport 1.5T with leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a 12-way power driver’s seat, heated mirrors, keyless entry, and remote engine start. It’s a smart pick if you want a more premium feel without jumping to the upper trims.
• EX-L: This is the comfort-oriented choice, especially if you want a more refined cabin and available moonroof equipment. It suits you best if you care more about everyday comfort and upscale touches than maximum performance.
• Sport 2.0T: Choose this if you want the more powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine and a more engaging drive. It’s the right fit if performance matters more to you than fuel economy.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with the most advanced tech and the highest level of convenience features. It’s the trim to buy if you want the most complete Accord experience and are willing to pay for it.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, and higher trims add blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,153 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.02% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,506, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $21,506 sits slightly below last year's $22,884.

That decline suggests the Accord is currently in a softer pricing phase, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. A lower market average can put some pressure on future resale expectations unless the car is especially well kept, lightly used, and attractively equipped. For sellers, the best defense is strong condition and a clean history, since those factors help a used Accord stand out in a crowded market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Honda Accord safe?

The 2021 Honda Accord earns an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. Higher trims add rear-seat reminder, low-speed braking control, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert. Standard front crash prevention also earned the top Superior rating for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian crash avoidance.

Should I buy a 2021 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Honda refined the Accord’s features list, added a trim level, and made safety a priority.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,713, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $21,506 average.
• It blends style, comfort, and everyday usefulness with a huge back seat and giant trunk.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall package, the 2021 is the better pick thanks to its refreshed features, strong safety focus, and broad appeal. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly route and still delivers the core Accord strengths.
