Used 2021 Genesis G80 for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2021 Genesis G80 cost?

Prices have softened 2.02% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 190 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2021 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Genesis G80 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxury features, smooth ride, and value for money, and they also highlight the sophisticated design and spaciousness. The cabin’s premium feel and technology help it stand out if you want a midsize luxury sedan that feels different from the usual German alternatives.

The main trade-off is the underwhelming base engine, and the expert review also notes that the car is more of a cruiser than a sharp, eager-to-push sports sedan. If you want comfort, upscale presentation, and a strong feature set, it fits that brief well. The market also shows 35.3% good or great deals, which supports the case for shopping carefully.

Is the 2021 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with no major recurring complaints standing out in the summary. That kind of response suggests you can count on the G80 to deliver the premium experience buyers expect over time.

Genesis also backs ownership with free maintenance, free service valet with a loaner vehicle, and three years or 36,000 miles of connected services. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the car was maintained properly and not assuming every example has the same care history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Genesis G80?

At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-trim car with more technology and driver-assistance hardware. Focus on bodywork quality, electronic feature operation, tire and brake condition, and whether the car’s luxury equipment works as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Prestige Package adds premium Nappa leather, a microfiber suede headliner, open-pore wood trim, a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a 12-inch head-up display, while also bringing more advanced safety and parking tech. If you want the most complete luxury presentation, that package is the one to target.
• Powertrain: The G80 offers a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, or a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is the stronger choice if you want more effortless acceleration.
• Safety package: Every G80 includes a long list of driver-assist features, including collision avoidance tech, smart adaptive cruise control with machine learning, Safe Exit System, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Highway Driving Assist II, 10 airbags, and a center-mounted airbag. The Prestige Package adds Forward Attention Warning, Blind Spot View Monitor, surround-view cameras, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
• Infotainment: Every G80 has a 14.5-inch widescreen infotainment system with SiriusXM, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, and available 21-speaker Lexicon audio. Wireless smartphone charging is available, and Genesis Connected Services is free for the first three years.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the 3.5T AWD test vehicle should have averaged 21 mpg in combined driving, and it returned 22.4 mpg on the test loop.

Which 2021 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2021 Genesis G80 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.5T and 3.5T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the G80’s design, comfort, and technology at the lowest price. It gets the standard turbocharged four-cylinder, but the review calls the base engine underwhelming, so it is best for buyers who care more about luxury feel than brisk performance.
• 3.5T: This is the better-value choice if you want the G80 to feel properly strong and more satisfying to drive. The twin-turbo V6 brings much more power, and the review describes it as fantastic, making this the trim to target if your budget allows.

The Prestige Package is the trim-level upgrade to look for if you want the most advanced safety and convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Genesis G80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 190 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.02% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,100, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Genesis G80's resale value?

The current average of $30,633 sits slightly below last year's $31,264.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition, because a lower entry price can help offset some depreciation pressure. Well-equipped examples with desirable features should be easier to move than bare-bones cars.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Genesis G80 safe?

The 2021 Genesis G80 earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis equips every G80 with a long list of driver-assistance features, including collision avoidance tech, smart adaptive cruise control with machine learning, Safe Exit System, Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, Highway Driving Assist II, 10 airbags, and a center-mounted airbag. The Prestige Package adds Forward Attention Warning, Blind Spot View Monitor, surround-view cameras, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

One important caveat is that this redesigned G80 had not been crash-tested at the time of the review. That means you should lean more heavily on the standard safety equipment and the condition of the specific vehicle you are considering.

Should I buy a 2021 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2021 redesign brings bold styling, premium materials, and strong safety tech.

Consider the 2022 if:

• It adds a more polished luxury-sedan experience with updated comfort and refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2021 is the smarter path because pricing has eased and the model still delivers strong luxury appeal. If you are willing to spend more for a newer-feeling cabin and a more refined overall package, the 2022 is the better secondary path.
