How much does the 2021 GMC Acadia cost?

Prices have softened 11.68% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,974 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 GMC Acadia a good car?

Yes — the 2021 GMC Acadia earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its comfortable interior, spaciousness, and the strong V-6 engine, and many also like the extra room in the third row. For you, that makes it a sensible fit if you want a family-oriented crossover with a manageable footprint and a practical, comfort-first setup. 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 GMC Acadia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as comfortable and spacious, and some note that it feels dependable in everyday use. The same owner feedback also points to a few recurring annoyances, including the manual sunroof adjustment and a floaty suspension feel.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but you should still verify condition carefully and pay attention to how the vehicle has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 GMC Acadia?

At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or visible wear. Focus on overall condition, since a clean-looking SUV can still hide issues that matter for long-term ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 GMC Acadia?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,974 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,877, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 GMC Acadia's resale value?

The current average of $21,877 sits slightly below last year's $24,771.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your future value will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and mileage. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average, especially if they remain appealing to family buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 GMC Acadia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,696, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $21,877 average.
• It adds bolder styling and a more distinctive refresh.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, owner satisfaction, and deal availability, the 2021 is the better primary target. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly alternative.
