Used 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty for Sale nearWichita, KS

How much does the 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty cost?

Prices have softened 6.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,052 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its solid performance, powerful 6.7 turbocharged diesel engine, impressive features, high resale value, and stylish build. The truck is aimed at buyers who need hardcore capability, multiple body styles, and multiple powertrain options, so it fits best if you value strength and flexibility over refinement. The main trade-offs are poor ride quality and poor handling, and the interior materials feel cheap. Even so, 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as solid, powerful, and dependable, and they also highlight its strong performance and high resale value. The truck’s powertrain lineup and heavy-duty focus support the kind of ownership experience you want if you plan to keep it for demanding work. Ford also backs the truck with a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that heavy-duty trucks often lead hard lives, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any truck you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear from towing, hauling, and job-site use. Pay close attention to overall condition, because heavy-duty trucks can hide hard use better than lighter-duty vehicles.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base XL trim offers good headroom and legroom, but is otherwise a stripped-down work truck. Lower trims get simple cloth upholstery, while higher trims can be decked out with leather and upscale finishes that rival luxury cars.
• Powertrain: Ford offers a 6.2-liter V8 with 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, a 7.3-liter V8 with 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque, and a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel with 475 hp and 1,050 pound-feet of torque. All engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the diesel offers the best capability.
• Safety package: A trailer tow package is available with special camera views and Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist. Blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision alerts are also available, though many advanced driver aids are held back for added-cost upgrades or higher trims.
• Infotainment: Ford’s Sync 3 system is intuitive and easy to use. The base XL trim gets a non-touch display, while a larger touchscreen is available on other trims. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and higher trims get upgraded audio systems.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA does not require fuel-economy ratings for heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles, so there is no official mpg figure here.

Which 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty trim should I buy?

The 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty is offered in 6 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, with a stripped-down cabin and a non-touch display. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost entry into the lineup and do not need luxury features.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday usability without pushing you too far up the price ladder. It is a smarter choice if you want a more balanced truck than the bare-bones XL.
• Lariat: This trim moves you into a more upscale experience with more comfort and convenience, making it a good fit if you want a truck that feels less utilitarian.
• King Ranch: This is for buyers who want a more distinctive, premium-feeling Super Duty with a richer cabin presentation.
• Platinum: This trim leans further into luxury and upscale finishes, so it suits you if comfort and appearance matter as much as capability.
• Limited: This is the top-end choice, with leather and upscale finishes that rival many luxury cars.

Advanced driver-assistance features are available, but many are reserved for higher trims or added-cost packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,052 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $45,899, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $45,899 sits slightly below last year's $49,023.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you can still protect value reasonably well. Heavy-duty trucks with strong owner satisfaction tend to stay in demand, especially when they have the capability and reputation this model year carries.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty safe?

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford offers a trailer tow package with special camera views and Pro Trailer Backup Assist, plus available blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision alerts. Many of those features are not standard and may be tied to higher trims or packages, so you should check the exact equipment on any used example you’re considering. Because the truck is treated as a commercial vehicle, it has not been crash tested in the same way as light-duty pickups.

Should I buy a 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers multiple body styles and multiple powertrain options for buyers who need hardcore capability.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $41,351, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $45,899 average.
• It is a well-balanced heavy-duty pickup with strong towing capability and comfort.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market inventory and a truck that still delivers serious capability, the 2021 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path and still brings the core strengths that matter in this segment.
