Unbelievable supercar for the money -love everything about the car, the looks, the shape, inside and performance

C8 Corvette is an exceptional car. However, with that much torque & horsepower , imho the Z51 performance package is absolutely necessary to safely control the car. The selective magnetic suspension is also a must to fully enjoy this car for comfort on longer more casual trips on the interstate , etc.

An incredible supercar , but without the high cost of purchase and maintenance other supercars. A comfortable daily driver that turns into a fire breathing monster at the turn of the mode dial. I love it.

| Metric | Value |

| Year-Round High | $69,273.56 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $69,277 |

Prices have softened 4.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,102 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
If you find a listing below $64,616.97, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?
Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4.87/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating.
The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.
Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, stunning looks, and strong value for money, especially versus higher-priced supercars. They also describe it as the best version yet, which points to broad enthusiasm around the driving experience and overall appeal. The main trade-off is that some drivers want a more user-friendly interior, and the car’s identity has shifted a bit from the traditional Corvette formula.
That mix makes the Corvette especially compelling if you want a dramatic sports car that feels exotic without chasing exotic-car pricing. It also helps that 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have room to shop selectively.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?
Owners rate it 4.87/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a car people feel good about living with over time, with repeated praise for its strong performance and overall value. That kind of enthusiasm usually lines up with a vehicle that owners feel confident recommending and keeping.
The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Corvette is nearly as easy to daily drive as a typical family sedan or SUV, which supports the idea that it can be a dependable companion if you stay on top of its needs. The front suspension lift memory function also helps reduce the risk of scraping in everyday use.
For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the car has been driven and maintained carefully enough to avoid wear from its low-slung, high-performance setup.
What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper paper trail. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the car’s low front end, suspension lift function, and any signs of curb or scrape damage. You should also pay close attention to how the cabin controls, visibility aids, and driving modes operate, since this car’s appeal depends heavily on day-to-day usability as much as speed.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The 2LT and 3LT trims add visibility enhancements that are not on the base trim, including a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The base trim also misses the standard rearview camera mirror, high-definition reversing camera, and rear parking sensors mentioned in the safety content.
- Powertrain: You get a 6.2-liter V8 with up to 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when equipped with the Z51 Performance Package and performance exhaust. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is quick and characterful, but it can hesitate at times.
- Safety package: Teen Driver is standard, and Chevrolet Connected Services can add automatic collision notification and emergency calling with a subscription. The visibility-enhancement suite includes a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert on 2LT and 3LT trims.
- Infotainment: Every Corvette includes an 8-inch touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The system also supports a configurable 12-inch digital display, and 2LT adds a head-up display.
- Fuel efficiency: The Corvette is described as a bargain for its performance, with about 60 mph in about three seconds and a top speed in excess of 190 mph.
Which 2021 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?
The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The 1LT gives you the core Corvette experience, but it skips the visibility-enhancement features reserved for higher trims.
- Sweet-spot trim: The 2LT is the best value if you want the most useful everyday upgrades, including the head-up display and the safety/visibility features that make the car easier to live with.
- Premium/top trim: The 3LT is the pick if you want the most upscale cabin experience and the fullest feature set.
The safety-package trim note is simple: the visibility enhancements are restricted to the 2LT and 3LT trims.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?
This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.
- Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,102 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.84% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $64,616.97, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?
The current average of $65,926 sits slightly below last year's $69,277.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may temper short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key question is whether the car holds its desirability through condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than relying on broad market appreciation.
Strong enthusiast demand can still support resale, especially for a car with this level of performance and owner enthusiasm. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than ordinary sports cars because the Corvette name still carries strong appeal.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette safe?
It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.
The Corvette includes Teen Driver technology, which can monitor paired-key driving behavior and generate a report card for you. Chevrolet Connected Services can also provide automatic collision notification and emergency calling with a subscription.
For added visibility, Chevrolet offers a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, but those features are limited to the 2LT and 3LT trims. The base trim does not get those upgrades.
The bigger caveat is that the car does not offer modern driver-assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, or Super Cruise. That means you should think of safety here as visibility and monitoring support, not full active protection.
Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2021 if:
- 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.84% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2021 stands out for its mid-engine layout, strong value, and highly engaging driving character.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $64,740, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $65,926 average.
- It delivers the same mid-engine breakthrough with supercar-like performance at a lower price.
Consider the 2022 if:
- At $69,542, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $65,926 average.
- It keeps the same core formula while adding minor updates and a slightly newer-market profile.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, enthusiasm, and inventory, the 2021 is the smart target. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2020 is the easier value play; if you want a newer model-year feel and do not mind paying more, the 2022 is the alternative to compare.
