CarGurus Analysis: 2021 Chevrolet Corvette
overall

Summary
With 1,224 currently listed for sale and an average price of $65,687.00, 33.8% of 2021 Chevrolet Corvettes for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette 4.87 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.83 / 10.
89.1% of 2021 Corvette models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette stands out as a dramatic, stylish sports car that delivers a thrilling driving experience while still being presented as an excellent value for money. Its design is a major part of the appeal, and the test-drive notes also emphasize that it is fun to drive. Owners echo that impression, praising its powerful performance, striking looks, and value compared with higher-priced supercars.
The convertible version adds another layer of appeal because its top-down experience is described as especially convenient and visceral. That said, the privilege of powering down the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible’s top comes at a cost, and the car does ask buyers to give up a few things in exchange. The most notable drawbacks called out are the lack of a manual transmission and limited cargo space, so while it is compelling as an emotional, performance-focused choice, it is not the most practical one.

Unbelievable supercar for the money -love everything about the car, the looks, the shape, inside and performance

C8 Corvette is an exceptional car. However, with that much torque & horsepower , imho the Z51 performance package is absolutely necessary to safely control the car. The selective magnetic suspension is also a must to fully enjoy this car for comfort on longer more casual trips on the interstate , etc.

Convertible, Z-51, Mag. Ride, Front lift, 2LT, upgraded rims, are all things I like. The only negative is the exterior Color.

An incredible supercar , but without the high cost of purchase and maintenance other supercars. A comfortable daily driver that turns into a fire breathing monster at the turn of the mode dial. I love it.

If you find a listing below $64,618.05, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?
Yes — 4.87/5 owners rate it 4.87/5, and the expert rating is 7.83/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.
Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, stunning looks, and strong value for money, especially versus higher-priced supercars. They also describe it as the best version yet, which reinforces the sense that this year’s Corvette lands well with shoppers who want excitement and visual drama.
The main trade-offs are the interior’s user-friendliness and a departure from the traditional Corvette identity. In practical terms, this is a sports car first, so it fits you best if you want a thrilling, style-forward machine rather than a compromise-heavy daily driver.
With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?
Owners rate it 4.87/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a car that feels special and satisfying over time, with repeated praise for its performance, value, and overall appeal. That kind of enthusiasm usually lines up with a vehicle people feel good about living with, even when it is not the most conventional choice.
The expert notes also support that impression by describing the Corvette as easy to use and intuitive despite its high-tech layout. The cabin and controls are presented as approachable, which helps reduce day-to-day ownership friction.
If you buy used, your biggest long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about how hard the car was driven and maintained.
What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still run a history report on every candidate, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-specific check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear from spirited driving, curb rash, and any signs of poor maintenance. You should also pay close attention to how the car’s low nose, wheels, and interior surfaces have held up.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The 2LT and 3LT add useful visibility enhancements that the 1LT does not get, including a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting those features.
- Powertrain: The Corvette uses a 6.2-liter V8 with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The available Z51 Performance Package adds performance exhaust, performance-tuned Magnetic Ride Control adaptive dampers, performance brakes, a performance rear-axle ratio, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, heavy-duty cooling, and high-performance run-flat tires.
- Safety package: Teen Driver is standard, and Chevrolet Connected Services can add automatic collision notification and emergency calling with a subscription. The 2LT and 3LT trims also get a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
- Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, a configurable 12-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available navigation plus enhanced voice recognition. A head-up display is standard on 2LT.
- Fuel efficiency: The Corvette is described as delivering about 500 horsepower and roughly three-second 0-60 mph performance, but no mpg figure is stated.
Which 2021 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?
The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT.
Here's the short version:
- 1LT: This is the entry point if you want the Corvette experience at the lowest starting price. It gives you the core performance and design, but it is the trim most likely to leave you without the extra visibility features that make the car easier to live with.
- 2LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the head-up display and the key visibility upgrades that matter in a low-slung sports car. If you want the sweet spot between price and everyday usability, this is the one to target.
- 3LT: Choose this if you want the most premium cabin experience and are willing to pay for it. It builds on the lower trims with the most upscale feel, but the core appeal still comes from the Corvette’s performance and style.
The safety-related visibility features are restricted to the 2LT and 3LT trims, so those are the trims to prioritize if you want the most confidence behind the wheel.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.
- Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,230 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.09% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 89.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $64,618.05, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?
The current average of $65,560 sits slightly below last year's $68,357.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car was optioned and maintained.
Because this is a desirable sports car with strong enthusiast appeal, cleaner examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. If you keep the car in strong shape, the current pricing trend should not erase its long-term desirability.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette safe?
It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.
The Corvette’s safety story is really about helping you avoid trouble in a car that is built for speed, not about loading it with every modern driver-assistance feature. Teen Driver is standard, and Chevrolet Connected Services can add automatic collision notification and emergency calling with a subscription.
Chevrolet also offers a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, but those visibility enhancements are limited to the 2LT and 3LT trims. The car does not offer adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, or Super Cruise.
Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2021 if:
- 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.09% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2021 adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus intuitive tech that is easy to use.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $63,868, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $65,560 average.
- It introduced the mid-engine Corvette with supercar-level performance.
Consider the 2022 if:
- At $68,577, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $65,560 average.
- It carries over the same formula with minor updates and new colors.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current-market availability, the 2021 is the smart default. If your priority is saving money, the 2020 is the better value play; if you want a newer example and do not mind paying more, the 2022 is the straightforward upgrade path.
