Is the 2021 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2021 Q8 stands out as Audi’s flagship SUV with a more exclusive, coupe-like shape than the Q7 it is based on, and it leans more toward a high-end style statement than a traditional family hauler. The 2021 Q8’s standard hardware and upscale equipment suggest a well-built premium SUV, and its mild hybrid system helps smooth engine auto stop-start behavior. Because it is a luxury vehicle with advanced features and a more complex setup, you should still plan for careful maintenance and inspect service history closely before buying.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the drivetrain, electronics, suspension, and touchscreen-based controls. A clean history report matters here, especially if you want to avoid hidden repair costs later.

What is the 2021 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $32,758 sits slightly below last year's $38,849.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Premium SUVs with strong demand can hold value better when they present cleanly and have a solid service record.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 42.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $31,397, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $32,758 average.
• It emphasizes performance-focused positioning and everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: The 2021 is the better pick if you want the newer-year pricing context, strong deal availability, and a premium SUV with broad appeal. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2020 is the more budget-friendly path and still gives you the Q8’s core luxury-sport character.
