You should still check the history report carefully and confirm the car’s accident and title status before you buy. Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Volvo S60?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 297 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,051, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $19,059 sits slightly below last year's $20,440.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already moved through some of its depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the car well, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell. Strong condition and a clean history matter even more in a market where buyers are still comparing value closely.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,019, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $19,059 average.
• The 2019 emphasizes athletic styling and broad competitive appeal.

The bottom line:
Buy the 2020 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and clean inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2019 is worth a look because it undercuts the current year while still delivering the S60’s core appeal.
