How much does the 2020 Volvo S60 cost?

Prices have softened 9.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 305 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, which is a strong sign that it delivers on what shoppers want. The review summary points to a quiet ride, impressive performance, and strong safety features, while also noting smooth acceleration and a spacious interior. If you want a compact luxury sedan with a comfortable cabin and a distinctive Scandinavian feel, this model year fits that use case well. With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a reasonable chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2020 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also emphasizes that owners find it dependable and appreciate the safety-minded ownership experience. That combination suggests the car can be a reassuring choice if you want something you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the ownership experience and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Volvo S60?

At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put a pre-purchase inspection near the top of your checklist, especially if the car has been in a collision or has incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, repair quality, and signs of uneven wear so you can separate a clean example from one that may need extra attention.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Volvo S60?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 305 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,120, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $19,120 sits slightly below last year's $21,115.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned to preserve value when it’s time to sell. A lower entry price can also reduce the amount of depreciation you absorb over your ownership period.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $18,230, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $19,120 average.
• It emphasizes style, safety, and value in a distinctive small luxury sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and deal availability, the 2020 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2019 is the more price-sensitive alternative and still makes sense if you value style and safety.
