How much does the 2020 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 10.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,982 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Sorentos to compare.

Is the 2020 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Kia Sorento earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a practical, familiar midsize SUV with more passenger space than before, improved interior quality, and a third row for added flexibility. It also frames the Sorento as a good fit if you want midsize-SUV utility without moving to a newer redesign. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview also highlights solid safety and technology, standard rear parking sensors, available forward collision and lane-departure warnings, and strong crash-test results over its production run. For used buyers, that combination suggests a vehicle that can make sense for long-term ownership if you verify condition and maintenance history carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Kia Sorento?

At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection to check for prior collision repairs and any signs of uneven wear. Focus especially on body condition, panel alignment, and how well the interior and electronics have held up, since those details can reveal how the SUV was treated.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate market where you can be selective, especially if you compare condition and pricing carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,982 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,762, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $14,762 sits slightly below last year's $16,580.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell. The model's broad appeal as a practical three-row SUV should also help support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $13,635, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $14,762 average.
• It offers a stylish, luxurious feel with strong family-friendly value.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,844, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $14,762 average.
• It adds a redesigned look with more advanced tech and safety.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and satisfaction, the 2020 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2019 is the better value play, while the 2021 makes sense if you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget.
