How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 19.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,712 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, smooth ride, and towing capability, and those strengths line up well with its role as a full-size SUV built for families, cargo, and long-haul use. If you want one vehicle that can handle people-moving and heavy-duty utility, this model year fits that use case well. With 33.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable for spacious family hauling and towing, and the feedback also points to a generally trouble-free ownership experience for many buyers. The main caution from owners centers on electronics, so used shoppers should pay close attention to how the cabin tech and controls behave during a test drive. For long-term ownership, that means your biggest risk is less about the core SUV formula and more about finding a well-kept example with properly functioning equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 66% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any listing that looks especially clean or unusually well priced. Focus your inspection on body condition, signs of prior repair, and the operation of electronics and infotainment features. Because this is a large, heavily used SUV, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,712 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,902, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $24,902 sits slightly below last year's $30,854.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a lower entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. A clean history and strong maintenance record should help you stand out when it is time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $36,946, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $24,902 average.
• It adds a new turbodiesel option for better fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger buy because pricing is lower and deal availability is solid. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model with an added fuel-economy option, the 2021 is the better secondary path for shoppers who prioritize that upgrade over upfront savings.
