How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 16.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,653 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, smooth ride, and towing capabilities, and it fits especially well if you need one vehicle for family duty, cargo hauling, and trailer work. The main tradeoffs are fuel economy and some electronics concerns, so it makes the most sense if you value size and capability over efficiency. With 37.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as dependable for spacious family use and towing, and the feedback points to a vehicle many owners feel comfortable counting on for long-haul duty. At the same time, some reviews mention electronics concerns, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on every candidate and prioritize listings with clean records and consistent maintenance. A thorough pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and any electrical or infotainment issues. Because this is a large, heavily used SUV, condition can vary widely, so the best examples are the ones with clear documentation and no obvious wear surprises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep distress pricing.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,653 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,338, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $26,338 sits slightly below last year's $31,389.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is documented. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because buyers in this segment tend to reward space, capability, and a strong ownership reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,653, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $26,338 average.
• It adds a turbodiesel option for better fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger primary path because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and plenty of inventory to compare. If you’re willing to pay more for the newer model year and want the added turbodiesel option, the 2021 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize that upgrade.
