How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Impala cost?

Prices have softened 10.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 316 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Impala a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Impala earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, spaciousness, and value for money, and they also highlight the handling, engine performance, and interior comfort. For you, that means this model fits especially well if you want a roomy full-size sedan with easy everyday livability and a lot of space for the money. The market also shows 30.7% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Impala reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with strong satisfaction around performance, spaciousness, and value. That lines up with the model’s reputation for being trouble-free and easy to count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s basic appeal and more about finding one that has been well maintained and not worn down by prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Impala?

At 52.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, paint consistency, tires, brakes, and interior wear so you can judge how the car was treated. Because this model is valued for comfort and everyday usability, focus on condition first and make sure the specific car you choose still feels clean, tight, and well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Impala?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 316 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,921, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $13,993 sits slightly below last year's $15,637.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you purchase at a strong price and keep the car in good condition, you can help protect your future resale position. The Impala’s broad appeal as a roomy, comfortable sedan should still support demand among shoppers who want a lot of space without paying luxury-car prices.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the final-year version of this roomy, comfortable sedan and you can verify a clean, well-kept example. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 remains the better pick when you want strong owner satisfaction and a market that still offers some deal opportunities.
