Used 2019 Volvo S60 for Sale nearBaltimore, MD

How much does the 2019 Volvo S60 cost?

Prices have softened 12.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 302 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Volvo S60 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its balance of performance, luxury, and style, along with a quiet, comfortable ride and excellent handling. The review summary also points to advanced features and safety as major strengths, which fits the car’s upscale, value-oriented appeal.

The main trade-offs are its unintuitive technology and poor ergonomic design. In practical terms, that means you may like this car most if you want a stylish small luxury sedan that emphasizes comfort, safety, and value over a perfectly polished interface.

33.4% of listings are marked as good or great deals, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable, with language centered on comfort, advanced features, and safety that supports confidence over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the S60’s composed driving character and strong value, which reinforces the sense that it is built to be a car you can live with day to day.

If you are buying used, the biggest long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and whose tech features still work as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Volvo S60?

At 70.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any collision or has higher mileage. Pay close attention to the condition of the infotainment system, driver-assistance features, and interior controls, since the S60’s technology is one of its known weak spots. It is also worth checking that the car’s safety equipment and convenience features operate correctly, because those are a big part of the model’s value proposition.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Momentum trim comes with a panoramic moonroof, heated wiper-fluid nozzles, dual-zone climate control, a 60/40-split rear bench seat, a power driver’s seat with memory settings, a power front passenger seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, standard driver-assistance features, and the Sensus infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The R-Design adds fog lights, power-retractable side-view mirrors, dual integrated exhaust outlets, and an R-Design steering wheel with paddle shifters. The Inscription adds genuine leather upholstery, 4-zone climate control, and the contents of the Advance Package. The best-value trim is the R-Design if you want a more distinctive look and stronger equipment without going all the way to the top trim.
• Powertrain: The T5 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, sent to front-wheel drive. The T6 adds turbocharging and supercharging for 316 hp and 295 lb-ft with all-wheel drive. The T8 plug-in hybrid combines the twin-charged engine with rear electric power for 400 net hp and 495 lb-ft, plus full-electric driving at speeds up to 31 mph and a 21-mile all-electric range.
• Safety package: The standard safety suite includes front- and side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, a tire-pressure-monitoring system, forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, and traffic-sign recognition for the navigation system. The Advance Package adds a head-up display, headlight washers, a 360-degree camera, active bending headlights, and Pilot Assist. Some of those features are reserved for the package rather than standard equipment.
• Infotainment: The Sensus system uses a large touchscreen interface, and the car comes with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is described as having a steep learning curve, and it can lag or freeze, so you should test it carefully during your inspection.
• Fuel efficiency: The T6 is estimated at 21 mpg city, 32 highway, and 25 combined. The T5 is estimated at 24 mpg city, 36 highway, and 28 combined. The T8 can operate in full-electric mode at speeds up to 31 mph and has a 21-mile all-electric range.

Which 2019 Volvo S60 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Volvo S60 is offered in 3 trim levels: Momentum, R-Design, Inscription.

Here's the short version:

• Momentum: This is the entry point, but it still gives you a panoramic moonroof, heated wiper-fluid nozzles, dual-zone climate control, power front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, standard driver-assistance features, and the Sensus infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and still want a well-equipped luxury sedan.
• R-Design: This is the midrange trim and the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds a sportier appearance and useful extras like fog lights, power-retractable mirrors, dual integrated exhaust outlets, and an R-Design steering wheel with paddle shifters. If you want the most balanced mix of style and equipment, this is the trim to focus on.
• Inscription: This is the top trim and is the one to choose if you want the most upscale cabin, with genuine leather upholstery, 4-zone climate control, and the contents of the Advance Package. It is the right pick if comfort and premium features matter more than price.

The Advance Package adds a head-up display, headlight washers, a 360-degree camera, active bending headlights, and Pilot Assist.

• Inventory: There are 302 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,230, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $18,230 sits slightly below last year's $20,779.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can be a mixed signal for future sellers. On one hand, it means you may not see the same pricing strength that this model had a year ago. On the other hand, the softer entry price can help keep the car attractive to used buyers, especially if it is well maintained and equipped with desirable features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Volvo S60 safe?

The 2019 Volvo S60 earns strong safety recognition from both IIHS and NHTSA, including top-tier crash-test results and five-star ratings.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes front- and side-impact airbags, a reversing camera, a tire-pressure-monitoring system, forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, and traffic-sign recognition for the navigation system. The Advance Package adds a head-up display, headlight washers, a 360-degree camera, active bending headlights, and Pilot Assist, which is a semi-autonomous driving system with smart cruise control.

Should I buy a 2019 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 stands out for its standard advanced safety features, strong value, and distinctive styling.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a smart choice if you want the S60’s style, safety, and value at a softer price point than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, this model year is worth targeting now, but you should be selective about condition and history because a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents.
