Why it stands out
The 2019 Toyota 4Runner continues to be a top choice for those seeking a robust and reliable SUV capable of handling off-road adventures. Although its design dates back to 2009, this SUV offers proven reliability and off-road prowess that many contemporaries struggle to match. Powered by a strong 4.0-liter V6 engine generating 270 horsepower and equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission, the 4Runner delivers a rugged driving experience. It is particularly favored for its ample cargo space and high towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds, making it practical for both daily use and outdoor excursions.
The interior, while somewhat dated compared to newer SUVs, provides a spacious environment with excellent head and legroom, particularly for taller passengers. With a generous nearly 90 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded, it’s ideal for road trips and adventure gear. Although lacking in modern technological conveniences like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it features user-friendly controls and a basic but functional infotainment system.
Despite its many strengths, potential buyers should be aware of its relatively poor fuel economy, with estimates ranging around 17 mpg in the city and 20 on the highway. Additionally, advanced safety features that are now standard in many newer vehicles are notably absent. However, those prioritizing durability and off-road capability will find the 2019 Toyota 4Runner to be a worthy investment.

The car itself is a great ride if you like a truck-ish feel, but unfortunately, I dont think its worth having my insurance and gas alone (exclusive of the cost of the car) cost more on a monthly basis than my mortgage.
