How much does the 2019 Subaru WRX STI cost?

There are 316 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Subaru WRX STI a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the overview describes this model year as a rally-inspired performance sedan with standard all-wheel drive and everyday usefulness. You get a car that blends serious speed with practical traits like a six-speed manual, all-weather traction, and convenience features such as navigation, Bluetooth, and automatic climate control. If you want something engaging and distinctive, this model year fits that brief well, though it is not cheap to buy or maintain. 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Subaru WRX STI reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the WRX STI’s reliability story is tied less to luxury and more to how it has been used, since many examples have been heavily used, abused, or modified. Its appeal comes from robust performance hardware and all-wheel-drive capability, but that same enthusiast focus means condition matters a great deal. For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is ending up with a car that has been driven hard or altered poorly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru WRX STI?

At 67.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on signs of hard use, modification, and wear that can come with an enthusiast-owned performance car. Pay close attention to overall condition, since the car’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and driven.

What is the 2019 Subaru WRX STI's resale value?

The current average of $26,311 sits slightly below last year's $27,250.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may depend more on condition than on broad market appreciation. If you keep the car stock, well maintained, and cleanly documented, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell. Enthusiast demand can remain strong for the right example, especially when the car has not been heavily modified or abused.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru WRX STI or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,748, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $26,311 average.
• It keeps the rally-inspired formula but feels more like a higher-performance, older-school enthusiast car.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2020 is the secondary path, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2019 first.
