What is the 2019 Subaru WRX's resale value?

The current average of $18,839 sits slightly below last year's $19,687.

That price movement suggests the WRX has softened enough to create a more approachable entry point for buyers, but it also means sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than ordinary sedans because the WRX has a clear identity and a loyal audience.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru WRX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,893, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,839 average.
• It adds a more modern-feeling daily-driver balance with sensible tech and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer model-year experience, the 2020 is the secondary path to consider.
