CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Lincoln Nautilus
overall

Summary
With 705 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,741, 34.2% of 2019 Lincoln Nautilus models for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus 4.82 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.67 / 10.
75.7% of 2019 Nautilus models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus stands out as a newly named midsize luxury crossover that has just received an extensive refresh. It is a two-row SUV, and its appeal starts with its stylish design and the fact that it offers multiple powertrain options. That combination gives it a broader reach than many shoppers might expect from a vehicle that is still building recognition under its new name.
At the same time, the Nautilus is not without compromises. The base engine is described as underwhelming, and the interior materials feel cheap, which can blunt some of the premium impression Lincoln is aiming for. Even so, the 2019 Nautilus remains distinctive for buyers who want a comfortable, smooth-driving luxury crossover with a more polished look and a meaningful update over what came before.

My decision was based on other reviews. I deliberately searched for problems with the Nautilus and couldn’t find anything significant other than a possible class action law suit for the transmission. The car came with a lifetime power train warranty so no big deal, we’re covered. This is by far the smartest vehicle we’ve ever owned and I have titled over 100 vehicles. It is very comfortable inside. So many controls I haven’t learned all of them yet. I can say it looks like you can control just about everything from the steering wheel which makes it easier to focus on the road. 19 speakers sound awesome! I don’t get any harsh vibration noise from the deep base. I compared to a Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, a BMW X3/5 and a Genesis GV70. We bought the Nautilus at a little over trade-in value from a dealership as a one owner. With the lifetime warranty this may be our last car.

Ive done a lot of research and this brand comes up winning every time-- style, look and elements are all spectacular! Best thing Ive recognized is maintenance is much better cost wise when you compare to Audi, BMW, Jaguar or Mercedes. I have an X5 and those maintenance costs have been brutal.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about whether the specific vehicle has been maintained well and still feels worth its premium price.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lincoln Nautilus?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only a starting point. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on cabin condition, electronics, and how well the vehicle’s luxury features still work. Given the mixed feedback on interior materials and cargo practicality, it is smart to judge wear, space, and trim quality in person.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Black Label trim stands out for its more upscale interior materials, including soft leather, matte wood, and additional premium detailing, while lesser versions still feel plush enough. If you want the most luxurious cabin, this is the trim to focus on.
- Powertrain: The base 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder makes 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the optional twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 makes 335 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is the stronger choice for this heavier SUV.
- Safety package: The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist. Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision alert with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
- Infotainment: Sync 3 includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in Wi-Fi, Waze integration, Amazon Alexa support, remote functions through the companion app, remote start, proximity entry, and a wireless charging pad. The system is simple and fast to use.
- Fuel efficiency: The Nautilus is EPA-rated at 19 to 21 mpg city, 25 to 27 highway, and 21 to 23 combined. In real-world highway cruising, it was unable to exceed 20 mpg.
Which 2019 Lincoln Nautilus trim should I buy?
The 2019 Lincoln Nautilus is offered in 4 trim levels: Standard, Select, Reserve, Black Label.
Here's the short version:
- Standard: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Nautilus experience with the standard turbocharged four-cylinder, front-wheel drive, and the basic luxury and safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the richer trim upgrades.
- Select: This is the trim to watch if you want the best balance of equipment and value, since it sits above the base model without jumping all the way to the highest-priced versions. It should be the first stop for most used shoppers.
- Reserve: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for it. It is the trim where the available comfort and convenience equipment starts to make the Nautilus feel more fully loaded.
- Black Label: This is the most luxurious version, with the richest interior materials and the most distinctive cabin presentation. Choose it if you want the most premium Nautilus and are comfortable paying for the extra polish.
The Driver Assistance package is the key safety upgrade to look for if you want adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lincoln Nautilus?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 718 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.04% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 75.5% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,746.10, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus's resale value?
The current average of $18,740 sits slightly below last year's $21,305.
That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you are planning to keep the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, that also means resale upside may depend more on condition, trim, and equipment than on broad market momentum.
Because the model has a strong owner satisfaction rating and a clear luxury appeal, well-kept examples should still attract interest. Higher-trim vehicles with desirable features are likely to hold buyer attention better than plain examples with the base engine.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus safe?
The Nautilus has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). However, NHTSA crash-tested the mechanically identical 2018 MKX, and it scored the maximum five-star ratings in all seven categories. The IIHS awarded the 2017 MKX a Top Safety Pick for scoring the top Good rating in all six crash tests and another top Superior rating for its crash-avoidance features.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision alert with automatic braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist, which can help guide the driver around an obstacle in the road.
Should I buy a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.04% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The extensive refresh and new name give this year a clearer identity and a more compelling place in Lincoln’s lineup.
The bottom line: The 2019 Nautilus is the right pick if you want the refreshed model-year styling, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that has already moved lower on price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can shop aggressively for a well-kept example near the low end of the range and focus on condition, equipment, and history rather than chasing the newest badge.
