How much does the 2019 Kia Soul cost?

There are 1,416 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Kia Soul a good car?

With a user rating of 3.9/5, the 2019 Kia Soul looks like a solid fit if you want a practical small car with personality. Owners most often praise its roomy interior, smooth and quiet ride, and strong value for the money, while also noting decent performance for a compact car.

That lines up well with the Soul’s use case as a subcompact hatchback that prioritizes space and everyday usability over flash. If you want something distinctive, affordable, and easy to live with, it fits that brief well.

There are 31.7% of listings priced as good or great deals, so you still have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Kia Soul reliable?

The 2019 Kia Soul is positioned as a practical, value-focused hatchback with a roomy cabin and everyday usability. Owner feedback also points to a smooth, quiet ride and a car that can feel like a good long-term fit when you find a well-kept example.

At the same time, some reviewers mention concerns about used-condition quality and repair costs after purchase, so reliability depends heavily on how the car was maintained. For used buyers, that means the long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s concept and more about finding a clean, well-documented example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Kia Soul?

At 59.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic you trust. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, and anything that suggests the car was repaired after a collision or neglected over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Soul?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the best examples.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,416 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,772, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Soul's resale value?

The current average of $10,790 sits slightly below last year's $11,263.

That suggests the Soul has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, though, it also means resale value may stay under pressure unless the car is especially clean, well maintained, and priced competitively.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Soul or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.19% compared with last year.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $12,592, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $10,790 average.
• It brings a more futuristic redesign and a more modern-feeling package.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the better value play if you want the Soul’s roomy, quirky formula at a lower price. If you can stretch for the 2020, you get a newer-feeling design and a more modern presentation, but price-sensitive buyers should stay focused on the 2019 and shop for a clean, well-priced example.
