CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Honda Accord

Summary
With 3,812 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,826, 30.6% of 2019 Honda Accords for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Honda Accord 4.43 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Honda Accord stands out as a roomy, well-rounded family sedan that blends practicality with a more upscale feel than many buyers expect in this class. Honda’s tenth-generation redesign brought a simple, easy-to-use interior, a center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, physical HVAC controls, and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also increased interior room, with rear seat comfort described as “luxury-car massive,” and the cargo hold was noted as best in class among its contemporaries. For shoppers who value a sedan that feels polished without becoming complicated, that combination is a major part of the Accord’s appeal.
This generation also broadened the Accord’s appeal with a range of powertrains. For 2019, engine options were limited to four-cylinders, with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 192 horsepower in lower trims and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 252 horsepower in higher-end trims. A six-speed manual transmission was available only in the Sport trim, where it could be paired with either turbo engine. The Accord Hybrid also returned with two electric motors and a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine, producing a combined 212 horsepower. Safety was another strength: every trim came standard with Honda Sensing, and the car again earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick. The main drawbacks are that cabin storage could be better and, as with many Accords, it tends to be more expensive than some competitors.

How much does the 2019 Honda Accord cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $18,821 |
| Year-Round Low | $18,492 |
| Year-Round High | $19,920 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $19,919 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −5.51% |

There are 3,805 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord a good car?
Generally — the 4.43/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise the Accord’s stylish design, luxurious interior, excellent reliability, impressive fuel economy, and smooth ride quality. The roomy cockpit and comfortable cabin also fit well if you want a practical family sedan that still feels polished. With a broad, easy-to-use layout and strong everyday usability, it suits shoppers who want comfort and value in a sedan. The market also shows 31.0% good or great deals, which adds some shopping flexibility.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback specifically highlights excellent reliability, dependable everyday use, and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. That kind of praise matters if you want a car you can count on over time, especially in a used purchase. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history should carry real weight.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Accord?
At 53.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, paint consistency, tires, and alignment clues that can reveal past repairs. It also makes sense to focus on cabin condition and mechanical smoothness, since those are the areas most likely to affect your ownership experience.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Accord?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare carefully and move when the right listing appears.
- Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,805 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.51% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 53.9% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,492, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $18,821 sits slightly below last year's $19,919.
That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make your purchase easier today but may also limit short-term appreciation if you plan to resell soon. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you preserve more value if you buy well and keep the car in strong condition. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Honda Accord or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 53.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.51% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2018 if:
- At $18,039, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,821 average.
- It feels especially appealing as an all-new model with a sporty, well-rounded character.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $20,283, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,821 average.
- It adds a more complete package with strong tech and a huge back seat.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, owner satisfaction, and market availability, the 2019 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2020 is the natural upgrade path.
