How much does the 2019 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 2.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,036 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Ford Mustang earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its power, style, and comfortable ride, and many also highlight how fun it is to drive and how well it handles. That makes it a strong fit if you want a rear-wheel-drive coupe or convertible with a classic performance feel rather than a purely practical commuter. With 31.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s power, style, and enjoyable driving character. That kind of consistent enthusiasm usually suggests a model that owners feel good about keeping for the long haul. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you choose a well-maintained example, since condition matters more when you’re shopping a performance car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

At 61.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the car has had multiple owners or a price that looks unusually low. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on overall condition, since reported issues include powertrain vibrations, inconsistent interior build quality, limited-slip differential problems, and electronic stability control concerns. You should also pay close attention to how the car drives and whether the cabin, drivetrain, and electronics feel consistent with the seller’s description.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,036 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,368, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $26,092 sits slightly below last year's $26,771.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully today but may also temper short-term appreciation if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future value, the best protection is choosing a clean, well-kept example with strong documentation and desirable equipment. Demand should remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal among shoppers who want a performance-focused coupe or convertible.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $22,408, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $26,092 average.
• It feels more refined and sophisticated while keeping the Mustang’s performance focus.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,621, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $26,092 average.
• It blends heritage with modern appeal and broad powertrain choice.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best all-around pick if you want strong owner satisfaction, a healthy deal pool, and a classic Mustang experience. If your priority is saving money, the 2018 is the better value path, while the 2020 is worth a look if you want a slightly newer alternative at a lower average price.
