How much does the 2019 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 3.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,060 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — 4.9/5 is a strong user rating, and owners consistently praise its power, style, and comfortable ride. The review summary also points to fun handling and an engaging driving experience, which fits a car built around performance. For you, that means this Mustang makes the most sense if you want a rear-wheel-drive coupe or convertible with a strong personality rather than a purely practical daily driver. 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also emphasizes that owners are thrilled with the car’s power, style, and comfortable ride, and many describe it as fun to drive. That kind of feedback suggests the ownership experience can be rewarding when the car has been cared for properly. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure prior wear or unresolved issues do not turn into expensive repairs later.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

At 62.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the powertrain, differential behavior, and electronic systems, since those are the kinds of areas that can matter most on a performance car. You should also pay close attention to overall condition, because build quality and prior use can vary meaningfully from one listing to another.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,060 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.71% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,381, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $25,965 sits slightly below last year's $26,966.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the car in strong condition and avoid examples with accident history, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell. Demand should remain supported by the Mustang’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal among performance shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $22,347, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $25,965 average.
• It feels more refined while keeping the Mustang’s performance-first character.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,695, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $25,965 average.
• It blends heritage with modern appeal and a broader value proposition.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2019 if you want a well-liked Mustang with strong owner satisfaction and a healthy used-car market. If price matters most, the 2018 is the better value play, while the 2020 is the better nearby alternative if you want a slightly newer model without paying more.
