How much does the 2019 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 13.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,661 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2019 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, which points to strong overall satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and luxurious features, and many also like its performance and safety-related strengths. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a full-size SUV that prioritizes family comfort, passenger space, and modern convenience features. There are 32.6% of listings priced as good or great deals, which gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, space, and the kind of usability that helps a vehicle stay appealing over time. That said, a used full-size SUV can still carry long-term ownership risk if maintenance history is unclear, so you should pay close attention to service records and overall condition before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Expedition?

At 72.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated ownership issues. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior wear, and any signs of uneven repair quality. Because this is a large family SUV, you should also focus on how well the cabin, cargo area, and major features have held up in real-world use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to target.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,661 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,720, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $22,720 sits slightly below last year's $26,209.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers will likely compare your vehicle against a wide pool of similarly priced listings. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still help support value, especially if you keep maintenance records and avoid accident history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,338, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $22,720 average.
• It offers a redesigned cabin with more room and stronger towing capability.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,788, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $22,720 average.
• It adds even more cargo and passenger versatility.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2019 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better secondary option because it costs less while still delivering the Expedition’s core strengths.
