Is the 2019 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Ford Expedition earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, smooth ride, and luxurious features, and they also value its performance and safety aspects, especially its turning radius and cargo space. With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, space, and the kind of everyday usability that helps a vehicle feel trouble-free over time. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger risk is less about broad reliability concerns and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Expedition?

At 71.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, suspension behavior, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal past collision issues or hard use. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a clean, well-documented example is the safest way to shop this model year.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Expedition?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,664 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,437, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $22,437 sits slightly below last year's $26,004.

That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible to buyers, which can help demand in the near term but also means sellers may face more competition. If you plan to resell later, condition and documentation matter even more because shoppers will have plenty of listings to compare. A clean history and strong maintenance record can help your vehicle stand out when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,206, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $22,437 average.
• It offers a redesigned, roomier take on the Expedition with strong family-hauling appeal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,383, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $22,437 average.
• It adds even more space and towing capability for buyers who want maximum utility.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best fit if you want a well-liked full-size SUV with softened pricing and a broad used-car market to shop from. If your priority is saving money, the 2018 is the better value path; if you want to spend more for added capability, the 2020 is the upgrade route.
