With the help of EcoBoost turbocharging, the small unit manages to put out 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque. The uprated engine is a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. It makes 166 horsepower and 149 pound feet of torque. With either engine, power is sent through a 6-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels, or available AWD. Fuel economy for the 1.0-liter engine is 27 mpg city, 29 highway, and 28 combined. Opting for the 2.0-liter engine provides fuel economy of 23, 29, 25. Standard safety features on the EcoSport include a reversing camera, a tire-pressure monitoring system, traction control, and SOS post-crash alert system.
