Is the 2019 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — 4.6/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. Is the 2019 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth driving experience and long-term enjoyment. That said, some shoppers note concerns about gas mileage and narrow tires during acceleration, so used buyers should pay attention to maintenance history and how the car has been driven over time. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the basic formula and more about finding a well-kept example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Dodge Charger?

At 50.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, tire wear, and signs of hard use, especially if the car has performance-oriented equipment. It also helps to compare service records and look closely at how the car presents inside and out, since condition can vary widely across used examples.

What is the 2019 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $19,817 sits slightly below last year's $20,606.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you can help protect its value against further market drift. Demand should remain supported by the Charger’s strong owner satisfaction and practical performance-sedan appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 23.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,827, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $19,817 average.
• It delivers classic muscle-sedan character with modern tech and available all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,964, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $19,817 average.
• It adds spacious practicality with updated tech and available all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best all-around choice if you want a strong mix of value, owner satisfaction, and broad inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2018 is the better path because it costs less while keeping much of the Charger’s core appeal.
