Is the 2019 Chevrolet Impala a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Chevrolet Impala earns a 4.77/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its great value, spacious interior, strong performance, and smooth ride, while also appreciating the safety features and easy-to-use tech. Is the 2019 Chevrolet Impala reliable?

Owners rate it 4.77/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centered on the car’s smooth ride, value, and overall livability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and doesn’t have unresolved issues that could offset that strong owner approval.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Impala?

At 52% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s structural and mechanical condition. Pay close attention to signs of prior bodywork, tire condition, and whether the car drives as smoothly as you’d expect from a large sedan. Because this model is valued for comfort and space, make sure the cabin, electronics, and ride quality all match the seller’s description.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Impala?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 508 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,681, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $13,681 sits slightly below last year's $15,308.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy at a better entry point now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition so you’re not competing from a weak starting price. A well-kept Impala with the right equipment and clean history should still appeal to shoppers who want a roomy, comfortable sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.77/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.77/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market pricing, the 2019 is a sensible target year to shop. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
