Is the 2019 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2019 BMW 7 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its impressive performance and luxurious comfort, and many say it drives like a dream with a smooth, fast feel. The overview also fits that feedback: you’re looking at a full-size luxury sedan with advanced technology, strong power, and excellent rear passenger room. With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights that many drivers find it dependable and trouble-free in the ways that matter most to them, especially when it comes to enjoying the car over the long term. The strongest reliability takeaway for you is that this is the kind of luxury sedan owners tend to feel confident living with. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a complex flagship like this can become expensive if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 BMW 7 Series?

At 63.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large luxury sedan where repairs can be costly. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could hint at expensive ownership ahead.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 BMW 7 Series?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 535 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,112, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $24,112 sits slightly below last year's $27,275.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may remain sensitive to condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong shape, you’ll be better positioned to limit depreciation losses later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current market availability, the 2019 is the primary year to target. It gives you a strong ownership reputation and a softer price than a year ago, which makes it appealing if you want a flagship luxury sedan without paying peak-market pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also use the broader market to hunt for the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than stretching for a newer year.
