Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2021 BMW 7 Series stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that blends strong performance with a long history of technology leadership, and it offers a deeply upscale cabin with a long list of modern features. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a large luxury sedan that still reflects BMW’s sporting character and gives you a wide range of powertrain choices. 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2021 BMW 7 Series is built around a broad mix of powertrains and a feature-rich cabin, which can make it appealing if you want a flagship sedan with advanced equipment and strong performance. Its complexity and premium positioning mean you should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition when shopping used. For long-term ownership, the biggest risk is buying a poorly maintained example with expensive repair needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

At 73.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report to confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on electronics, suspension behavior, and any signs of uneven wear or deferred maintenance. Because this is a complex luxury sedan, condition matters more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 545 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,326, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $37,481 sits slightly below last year's $42,349.

That price movement suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you choose a well-kept example and maintain it carefully, you may be better positioned when it comes time to resell. The strongest listings are likely to hold buyer interest better than neglected ones, especially in a luxury segment where condition and equipment matter a lot.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2021 is the primary year to target. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2021's current market position and feature set.
