How much does the 2016 BMW 7 Series cost?

There are 400 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare against.

Is the 2016 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the powerful engine, luxurious interior, and advanced technology, and they also highlight the smooth driving experience and comfort on long trips. For you, that makes this a strong fit if you want a full-size luxury sedan that emphasizes performance and upscale comfort. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with owners repeatedly calling out its smooth, comfortable, and trouble-free driving character over longer trips. That kind of feedback matters if you want a luxury sedan you can count on for regular use rather than just occasional driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the basic appeal of the car and more about making sure the specific example has been well maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW 7 Series?

At 59.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury sedan where repairs can be costly if something has been overlooked. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs that the car has been cared for consistently rather than just chasing the lowest price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 400 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,797, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $17,902 sits slightly below last year's $19,486.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model year is still supported by steady demand, but pricing pressure remains real. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you give yourself a better chance of preserving value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest blend of value and owner satisfaction, the 2016 is a sensible primary target, especially if you can find a clean, well-maintained example at the lower end of the price range. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
