How much does the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

There are 969 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxurious features, comfort, and performance, and they also highlight the power delivery and electronic features that improve the driving experience. For you, that means this model fits best if you want a large three-row luxury SUV with a premium feel, plenty of space, and a comfort-first personality. There are 33.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort, luxury, and performance. That kind of response suggests the GLS can be a reassuring choice if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on for long-term use. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the overall reputation and more about finding a well-maintained example with a clean history and consistent service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

At 64.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, signs of repair, and how well the interior and electronics have held up. Because this is a large luxury SUV, you should also pay close attention to overall wear, since condition can vary a lot from one listing to the next.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 969 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,714, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $20,722 sits slightly below last year's $23,633.

That price movement suggests the GLS has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help limit how much value you lose from here if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, the key advantage is that the model’s luxury positioning and three-row practicality still give it broad appeal among used SUV shoppers. If you buy a clean, well-kept example, you may have a better chance of holding demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the best mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and available inventory in this generation. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example is available at a similar budget, but the 2018 already offers a compelling value case.
