Summary
With 302 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,718.00, 34.1% of 2018 Honda Accord Hybrids for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid 4.5 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid stands out because it marked the arrival of Honda’s third-generation two-motor hybrid system in a redesigned Accord. Honda said the new setup offered improved packaging, and while power output stayed the same, fuel economy estimates fell slightly. That combination makes the 2018 model appealing to buyers who want a mainstream sedan with hybrid efficiency and the added practicality of a more thoughtfully packaged powertrain.
It also benefits from the Accord’s roomy cabin and large trunk, with the hybrid battery and related components moved under the back seat to preserve cargo space. Honda’s 60/40-split folding rear seat further improves utility, which helps the car feel less compromised than many hybrids. The 2018 Accord Hybrid is also part of a generation that earned a reputation for solid reliability, though owner complaints have included some dissatisfaction with real-world fuel economy.
At the same time, the 2018 model is not without drawbacks. The hybrid powertrain can produce a constant, unpleasant droning noise under hard acceleration, which can dull the driving experience. Even so, the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid remains distinctive for blending strong everyday practicality, good efficiency, and a more refined hybrid layout than earlier versions of the car.

Glad I took it for a test drive. It’s definitely not the car for me. Too long of a hood made it impossible for me to see or judge distance in front of me.

Great spacious vehicle, pleasant to drive, the base model doesn’t have apple carplay, very comfortable seats, huge trunk space and the rear seats also fold down to give you more cargo options and room. Great fuel economy, overall a great full size sedan, the touring version has nothing to envy any mercedes or BMW for less price.

Great features, best riding car I have ever owned. Drives like an Electric Vehicle - which it mostly is, just one powered by a generator instead of a battery. The 2018 is rated at 47/47/47 mpg. My lifetime mpg is currently 47.9, but that is at the end of winter; It is about 45 mpg on winter-grade fuel, and 50 mpg on summer-grade. Those who complain about low mpg have a lead foot - it is very easy to do jackrabbit starts without realizing it.

Is the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid a good car?
Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year.
The 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid stands out because it brought Honda’s third-generation two-motor hybrid system to a redesigned Accord. That setup is appealing if you want a mainstream sedan with hybrid efficiency and the added practicality of a more thoughtfully packaged powertrain.
It also benefits from a roomy cabin and large trunk, and the 60/40-split folding rear seat adds everyday usefulness. At the same time, the hybrid layout helps the car feel less compromised than many hybrids, which matters if you want efficiency without giving up utility.
29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid is part of a generation that earned a reputation for solid reliability. That said, owner complaints have included some dissatisfaction with real-world fuel economy, so you should pay attention to how the car has been used and maintained.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is ending up with a car whose condition or ownership history doesn’t match its reputation, so a careful pre-purchase check matters.
What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid?
At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the car has any accident record. Focus on overall condition, maintenance consistency, and whether the hybrid system feels smooth in normal driving.
Because this model can be appealing for efficiency and practicality, it’s worth making sure the specific car you choose has been cared for well rather than relying on the model’s reputation alone.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 290 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.41% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 57.2% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,091.18, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $18,746 sits slightly below last year's $19,408.
That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.
Because the model still has strong user satisfaction, demand should remain reasonably steady if your car is clean and well documented.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 29.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.41% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2017 if:
- At $16,670, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $18,746 average.
- It emphasizes comfort and an upscale feel.
The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced buy, the 2018 is the stronger primary path because it combines a favorable price trend with solid user satisfaction and practical hybrid packaging. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2017 is the secondary path worth considering, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with its older-generation drawbacks.
