CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid
overall

Summary
With 3,296 currently listed for sale and an average price of $28,806, 32.4% of 2024 Honda Accord Hybrids for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid 4.67 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.67 / 10.
87.7% of 2024 Accord Hybrid models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid stands out as a mainstream hybrid that makes a strong case for itself through efficiency and everyday usability. It returns fuel economy in the 40s, and it is described as delightful to drive, thoughtfully detailed, and exceptionally practical. Honda also equips the hybrid powertrain as standard on all 2024 Accords except the base LX and step-up EX, which makes the hybrid version a central part of the lineup rather than a niche choice.
Its biggest strengths are the roomy interior and huge trunk, along with its safety credentials, including standard safety features and crash-test ratings. The Accord Hybrid is also enjoyable to drive, but it is only “quick enough,” so buyers coming from a previous-generation Accord with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine may notice that it is not as fast. The styling is uninspired, some interior materials feel inexpensive, and the base price is high, but the overall package still makes it a compelling family sedan.

Great car, it really does the job on less gas and hybrid features

Reviewed a 2024 Honda EX-L FWD on Sep 6, 2024
This car is absolutely amazing. So many features and such a smooth ride. It feels like you’re literally gliding down the road and it is amazing on gas with up to 47 MPG on the highway. 5 star safety features and I can see why it’s the best Sedan in 2024. It is a little on the pricey side for the fully loaded option but you definitely get what you’re paying for .

I have owned this car for only one week but have already put more than 1600 miles on it. So far, I am impressed with the performance and MPG. I have averaged 44 MPG in combined City and highway driving. It was very comfortable on the long road trip as well. My only complaint so far is that the SPORT-L does not have the rear vents or USB ports. Hondas different trim levels dont really make sense. You get the rear vents and USB on the EX-L but not on the SPORT-L. Doesnt make sense to me. Other than that very pleased with the car so far

Yes — the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.
The data points to a sedan that is efficient, practical, and easy to live with. It is described as a mainstream hybrid with fuel economy in the 40s, a roomy interior, and a huge trunk, so it fits well if you want family-car usefulness without giving up everyday drivability.
The main trade-offs are that it is only quick enough rather than genuinely fast, and the styling is uninspired. Some interior materials also feel inexpensive, and the base price is high.
With 32.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid reliable?
Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Accord Hybrid is presented as a well-rounded, thoughtfully detailed sedan with strong safety credentials and a hybrid setup that is built for everyday use. Its standard hybrid powertrain and practical packaging support the idea that it should be easy to live with over time.
The performance notes also point to a drivetrain that feels normal from the driver’s seat, with smooth operation and satisfying city driving manners. On the cost side, the hybrid setup is framed as a satisfying choice, which reinforces the sense that ownership should feel straightforward rather than complicated.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core package and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn hard.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are comparing multiple trims or higher-mileage examples. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s equipment works as expected, since the model’s appeal depends heavily on its everyday usability.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Sport is the value pick, the EX-L is the mileage-focused choice, the Sport-L adds leather and black wheels, and the Touring brings luxury touches and exclusive technology. The base-level gaps matter because the higher trims add more comfort and convenience.
- Powertrain: The hybrid setup pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with two electric motors and delivers 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. It is front-wheel drive only, and all-wheel drive is unavailable.
- Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist. EX-L adds parking sensors, and Touring adds low-speed automatic braking.
- Infotainment: Every model gets a 10.2-inch digital display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Alexa Built-in, and HondaLink with Wi-Fi hotspot access. Touring adds a 6-inch head-up display, Google Built-in, a wireless charger, and a 12-speaker Bose system.
- Fuel efficiency: The EX-L is rated at 48 mpg combined, while the Sport, Sport-L, and Touring are rated at 44 mpg combined. In testing, the Touring returned 43.1 mpg.
Which 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring.
Here's the short version:
- Sport: This is the value-oriented choice if you want the hybrid Accord experience without stretching for extra luxury features. It gives you the core efficiency and everyday usability that define the model.
- EX-L: This is the best-value trim if fuel economy matters most, since it is the mileage champ and also adds parking sensors. If you want the most efficiency-focused version, this is the one to target.
- Sport-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale look and feel, since it adds leather and black wheels. It sits in the middle of the lineup and should appeal if you want style without going all the way to Touring.
- Touring: This is the trim for you if you want the most technology and luxury content, including exclusive Google Built-in features, a Bose audio system, a wireless charger, and a head-up display.
Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, while EX-L adds parking sensors and Touring adds low-speed automatic braking.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.
- Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,294 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.45% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 87.9% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $27,965, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid's resale value?
The current average of $28,752 sits slightly below last year's $29,781.
That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can also mean a future seller may need to price competitively. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.
The Accord Hybrid’s strong practicality and broad appeal should help support demand, especially because it combines efficiency with family-sedan usefulness. A model that remains desirable to shoppers tends to hold attention better when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid safe?
The 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.
Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic high-beam headlights, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist. EX-L adds parking sensors, and Touring adds low-speed automatic braking to help avoid bumper bumps.
There are a few caveats to keep in mind. The lane-assist features can be challenged by bright sunlight, traffic-jam assist worked only intermittently in testing, and the system issued a false forward-collision warning during a lane change. The steering wheel also cannot sense your hands, so you need to make small steering corrections to avoid warnings.
Should I buy a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.45% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It pairs strong efficiency with a roomy cabin and standard hybrid powertrain availability across most of the lineup.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $27,430, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $28,752 average.
- It launched the 11th generation with refined efficiency and strong everyday drivability.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $31,413, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $28,752 average.
- It adds standard wireless charging and rear air vents for a more convenient cabin.
The bottom line: if you want the best balance of price, efficiency, and broad market availability, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2023 is worth a look for lower entry cost, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer convenience upgrades and are willing to pay more.
