How much does the 2018 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 12.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,752 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2018 GMC Yukon a good car?

Generally — the 2018 GMC Yukon earns a 4.3/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners most often praise its comfort, spaciousness, and luxurious feel, and many also appreciate the improvement in gas mileage compared with earlier versions. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a large family hauler with a roomy cabin and a more upscale presence. With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle many owners have found dependable and trouble-free enough to recommend, especially when it comes to comfort and day-to-day use. That said, some drivers noted condition-related concerns in specific cases, so a careful pre-purchase check still matters. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a poorly maintained example rather than a fundamentally weak model.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 GMC Yukon?

At 66.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Focus on overall condition as much as mileage, since a clean-looking listing can still hide past damage or deferred maintenance. If possible, have a trusted mechanic evaluate the SUV before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 GMC Yukon?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,752 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.42% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,971, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $23,971 sits slightly below last year's $27,370.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and mileage from here. If the market stays soft, a well-kept example should still be easier to move than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want the Yukon’s roomy cabin, comfort, and upscale feel while taking advantage of softer pricing. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker alone.
