What is the 2017 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

That softer pricing suggests the Rogue has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help limit how much value you lose after purchase. Demand should remain supported by the Rogue’s practical layout, comfort, and broad appeal to used SUV shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $12,342, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $11,505 average.
• It adds automated driver assists for more advanced safety support.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2017 if your priority is value and you want a lower entry price with strong everyday usefulness. If you can stretch your budget, the 2018 is the better secondary path because its added driver-assist tech may be worth the premium.
