Across the lineup, features such as heated front seats, MB-Tex upholstery, a sunroof, power-folding third-row seats, an eight-inch touchscreen, and available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto helped make the GLS feel well equipped for its era.
At the same time, the 2017 GLS was not the most spacious or most modern-feeling luxury SUV in every respect. Its third-row access was a known drawback, and some desirable features were reserved for higher trims or option packages. Still, for buyers who want a used Mercedes-Benz SUV with genuine three-row practicality, strong engines, and a long list of comfort and convenience features, the 2017 GLS offers a distinctive mix of luxury and utility.
