How much does the 2017 Ford Fusion cost?

Prices have softened 7.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,827 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Ford Fusion a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Ford Fusion earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, comfort, and solid performance, and many also like the feature content for the money. The model’s roomy cabin and practical trunk make it a sensible choice if you want a midsize sedan that balances everyday usability with a more polished driving feel. With 28.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2017 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers describing the car as comfortable and solid over time. That kind of response suggests the Fusion can be a reassuring used buy if you want a sedan you can count on for regular commuting and family duty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car has been maintained well and hasn’t been driven hard enough to accelerate wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Ford Fusion?

At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the car is priced near the low end of the market. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair, then make sure the cabin and mechanical condition match the seller’s description. Because this model is popular enough to have a broad listing pool, you can afford to be selective and walk away from anything with unclear history or uneven wear.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,827 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,112, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $10,281 sits slightly below last year's $11,087.

That price movement suggests the Fusion has softened enough to create a more buyer-friendly entry point, but it also means future sellers may face some pressure if the market keeps easing. If you buy well now, you may be able to limit depreciation by choosing a clean, well-kept example with strong demand characteristics. Trim, condition, and maintenance history will matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $11,407, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $10,281 average.
• It offers a broader lineup with more variety across basic, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, luxury, and sport-oriented versions.

The 2017 is the better pick if you want a lower entry price and strong owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want more lineup variety, the 2018 is the better secondary path.
